So aside from my surprise proposal on August 12th, I found out shortly afterwards that my work trip was non-existent and that we would be spending the next two days together in San Francisco. My fiancé had planned a variety of activities for us and also allocated some free time in terms of our schedule, and I was over-the-top excited (for obvious reasons)! This post is loaded with picture content!
This is my take of the complex and well-executed secret proposal plans developed by my devious and thoughtful boyfriend (now fiancé), that have apparently been in the works for three years! As many of you know, my boyfriend and I celebrated our five-year anniversary this July. Little did I know that he had something much bigger planned for August, and with a little help from our friends!
So I’ve decided to start a “Projects” section on this blog, as my boyfriend and I have done several projects together and I think others could benefit from seeing them (for inspiration, understanding and suggested processes – and trials and errors too). Earlier this summer a large amount of free cedar was offered at my workplace due to construction improvements, and I instantly thought huge outdoor planter and took what I could fit in my car! I told my boyfriend about the idea and to help liven up our backyard a bit and he went to work on a design plan. You can view the building process and finished product here – he also shared his comments on the process (hit the info icon on each image for details).
I’m working my way through life in Canada and traveling when I can afford to explore beyond the border. Sharing my tips, trips, opinions and rants on life and travel in the meantime.
