What is Jet Lag, Anyway
Jet lag, also known as jet lag disorder, is a short-term sleep problem that affects people who travel quickly across one or more time zones. Your body has what’s known as its circadian rhythm, a kind of internal clock that signals your brain and body when to wake up, stay awake, and when to sleep. When your circadian rhythm is out of sync with its own time zone - that is, when you’ve rapidly transitioned to another one - jet lag can occur.
